Experience
Hany has over 13 years of experience in both the private and public sectors, primarily in the design and construction of educational facilities. He started as a project architect for several New York City schools. Hany then joined the New York City School Construction Authority (SCA) as a project officer. Prior to joining Design Resources Group (DRG), he worked as Director of Policy & Planning for the Office of School Facilities in the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE).
At DRG, Hany is responsible for managing architectural procedures and maintaining project schedules, with particular emphasis on NJDOE/SCC regulation compliance. His participation begins at the design and working drawing phases of projects in order to ensure clear communication of program requirements between clients and consultants and determine the schedule for each phase of the project.
Hany's expertise includes helping clients with Long Range Facilities Plans (LRFP's). He developed the amendment to the Educational Facilities Regulations N.J.A.C. 6A:26. and authored the official DOE Project Application. He also developed workflows for project review and approval and the technical requirements for the 2005 Long Range Facilities Plan and Project Application Tracking System Software. His knowledge of New Jersey government policy is invaluable to our clients, ensuring compliance with NJDOE and New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation (NJSCC) requirements.
